What a great time! The New Year?s Eve celebration was so much fun! The music was great and the dancing cannot be beat. Every hour there was a fun raffle. The staff are fun and friendly- they helped us find a seat since it was so crowded. I will beback! What a wonderful, family friendly New Year?s Eve.
Floyd County Store is a great place to eat, listen to music and to shop for items that can only be found at the country store. You can select from many tasty sandwiches and entrees. We listen to music on Sunday afternoon. It is possible to listen tomusic on most weekends. Enjoy the music. Dance. Eat and enjoy the music.
A MUST SEE in SW Virginia!!! Live Bluegrass Music?ALL DAY, EVERY DAY! The Floyd Country Store hosts (and streams on YouTube their Bluegrass Jamboree; a weekly event each Friday night which includes local-style dancing! Sunday?s at 4pm they have aBluegrass Jam Circle for novices to sit in on and play with locals. The store gives space for local artisans selling handcrafteditems and farm to table goods. We found an old time microphone, made from our home state of Oregon, specifically for Bluegrassmusicians! To top it all off?.they have a Soda Fountain/Ice Cream parlor adjacent and attached! Don?t miss this gem!
There is live bluegrass music on a stage that is set up for live recording. We?ve been here twice and the musicians were excellent both times AND they always seem to be having a great time. The restaurant has an interesting and varied menu and thecountry store has old fashioned items for sale. This place is exactly what you would expect from a ?country store? and it is somuch fun! Try the ice cream shop that?s attached-delicious!
What a wonderful experience! It feels just like coming home: the food is healthy, the shop is lovely, the music is fantastic, and the people are incredibly welcoming!
