St. George Cantina - Florida Panhandle

This place was a highlight of our trip! The reviews need to be better. Our waitress was the ONLY one working but she still was very friendly and attentive! She made us feel welcomed, and the food was great. I‘d go back here and I can’t say that for every place in town.

Delicious food and drinks! Highly recommend the nacho fries, the shrimp tacos and a skinny margarita! We sat at the bar and had awesome service from Kayla! Thanks Kayla for a great experience, we will be back to see you soon!

There was live music and it was decent. I had the nacho fries and they were amazing. My companions were all very happy with their experience. I put 4 stars because of two things. My friend and my dinner were both forgotten in the window and cold tacos are only so appetizing. My tacos were fish, so that made it worse. There was also a bartender there that seemed to be antagonistic towards the other bartenders. She just had a generally grumpy look. I only mention it because she was such a stark contrast to the other staff and actually seemed to be causing the other staff undue stress. Despite the cold tacos, my bartender was great. I will be back there next time I am at St George Island.

We went to the cantina to pick up some sides for our Taco Tuesday meal at our beach house. The wait was long, but the bartender talked to us and helped us get what we needed as quickly as possible. My husband and I went back later in the evening, when things had slowed down, for drinks and the bartender was super appreciative that we'd returned. We had a great conversation with her and our drinks were fantastic. The only reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is because the wait was super long, so don't go if you're in a hurry. But this was a fun place to hang out and enjoy good conversation!!

We went as a party of 9 (4 adults and 5 kiddos . We expected the wait to be long (post-covid...we are all understanding . When we were seated, the bar manager started as our server then explained that Jordan would be our server once the dinner rush began and the bar got busier. Jordan was so attentive! He was super friendly, polite, efficient, sharp...we had a complicated split tab and he nailed it! The food didn’t take nearly as long as we expected and it was great. No kids menu but they have several options for kiddos and/or picky eaters. You could tel everyone was pitching in (bussing tables, running food, serving, etc. and seeing an establishment work together as a team was very refreshing. We’ll definitely be be back!
