We were back for dinner Thursday last. Been a long time. It was just grand; food and atmosphere. Crab Cakes, scallops con Linguine, Grey Goos martini dry up shaken. Who could ask for more than that? Thanks for topping our 2 day visit to Florence. We'll be back. Thank you Lisa. View all feedback.
We visit Florence frequently, first time back post COVID and first time eating here. Food was delicious and Meg, our server was patient with our difficulty deciding between so many wonderful dishes to choose from. Caprese had an interesting pairing with pine nuts that was surprising, but really good. Chicken picatta was light and lovely flavor. Tiramisu had a bit heavier texture and flavor than we like, but still very nice. Only downside was an unexpected surcharge to use an electronic form of payment (3 to 4% on top of total price), was unaware until we got our bill. Recommend since you actually have to call and make a reservation at this venue that they tell you up front, so you can prepare with cash if you'd like to. Apparently commonplace at restaurants in this area now, but would have been nice to know beforehand.
Food and service are always impeccable! We have never had a meal there that we didn't love. I highly recommend this place.
Was excited about this place, when we were sat down waitressing was okay, but we had a few requests for the kitchen such as: a cup of cream sauce to dip bread in and for chicken Parmesan wanted the pasta to have cream sauce not red. Kitchen said no to these requests. Never had a restaurant flat out deny a simple request. So for bread it was pesto to dip bread in and the person didn’t order any food and just watched the rest of us eat. The kitchen was not accommodating to these requests although the ingredients are on the menu for other dishes. Reading the other lower reviews, this is along the same lines of poor customer service. The portion to one of the plates was small, but the food we did get was good. After experiencing how strict the kitchen is, I won’t be returning. Yes, you could have good food and yes, you can ask a certain price for it but if simple requests like cream sauce to dip bread in is flat out denied this shows an atmosphere geared more towards the restaurant instead of the customer.
Fantastic all around. Between 4 people I got to nibble on 6 dishes and 3 deserts and I wanted more of each one.
Not a real Italian restaurant. Reheated chicken rubbery, sauces nice VERY ESPENSIVE. will not go again.
