This is an old school burger and seafood establishment that has been around for decades. The menu has changed little over the years and one can always have a good meal. I do not like the fact that they now add a surcharge for credit card purchases. Really?! Have thy not realized it also costs them to handle cash? This left a bad taste in my mouth. View all feedback.

Every time I visit this restaurant, I leave feeling satisfied with my experience. The food is outstanding, the staff is welcoming, and the service is prompt. Above all, you truly get great value for your money.
I ordered the shrimp dinner they had on special for $11.95 this past Saturday, but unfortunately, the shrimp had an off taste, and I've definitely had better tartar sauce before. The fries were decent, but I have to say the coleslaw and salad with the orange house dressing were quite tasty. I managed to eat some of the shrimp, but I didn’t want to finish them; thankfully, I didn’t get sick. Perhaps that’s why they were offering the shrimp dinners at such a low price on Saturday (August 6, 2022). I hope the shrimp doesn’t taste like that all the time. On the positive side, the customer service was fantastic! There were two ladies taking orders, both with the sweetest and most bubbly personalities; they were very courteous and friendly, making everyone laugh. I’m not sure if they are the owners, but they were some of the kindest people I’ve ever encountered in a business setting.
It's been several years since I last visited Jumping J's, and I'm pleased to say that it’s just as amazing as I remember. The portions are exceedingly generous—we ordered one plate to share and still had leftovers to take home. We tried the flounder and Calabash shrimp, which came with two sizable pieces of flounder and a huge serving of popcorn shrimp. The meal also included tasty fries, as well as slaw and a salad. While the portions of the slaw and salad were smaller, they were still ample. We had the choice between two types of slaw or two types of salad. The hush puppies were a delightful surprise, shaped like little doughnuts and absolutely scrumptious. This place is definitely worth a visit! The accompanying photo shows what was left after we served some of the fish and shrimp onto a paper plate for sharing.
I had an amazing experience at Jumping Js! The restaurant was spotless, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, especially the cashier who greeted me warmly. The cleanliness of the place truly stood out, and I would definitely come back and recommend it to others. The food was excellent and well worth the price. You all deserve a raise for the fantastic job you're doing. May God bless you and keep your business and team thriving!

Jumping J's is always a delight to visit! It was my dad's favorite restaurant. Whenever we go there on our own, we share pictures with family members, and they instantly recognize the place. The food is amazing—highly recommend this spot!

Make sure to arrive at this restaurant hungry, or bring a friend! Otherwise, you might find yourself with leftover food, as the portion sizes are truly massive! Not only are the meals generous, but they are also incredibly tasty and served extremely quickly. They really mean it when they say "large portions"! Just look at that container of food—it's packed with shrimp, and there are two sizable pieces of fish at the bottom! I'm not competing in a food contest, but I usually have a big appetite, and even I couldn't finish my meal. One thing I regret is not asking for more of their dipping sauce; it was that good. Everything I tasted was absolutely delicious, and I would definitely return over and over again!

Tried for the first time today and it was excellent. Will definitely be back. The portions are huge my meal will feed for 3 meals. I got the flounder and shrimp and my boyfriend got the fried chicken. We’re from out of town but will definitely be making trips back!Food: 5/5

This was my first time visiting, and I have to say the food and staff were amazing. The place is impressively clean, and I can't wait to return. It's definitely our new favorite restaurant! Having just moved to the area, I can confidently say this is the best one we've found so far. Thank you for putting in the extra effort!

Oh, my goodness, this restaurant is incredible! The portion sizes are huge—you're definitely going to need a box for your leftovers. The staff is wonderfully friendly and caring. This place truly stands out as top-notch!
You have to check this place out if you’re really hungry! Bring a friend along, because if you don’t, you’ll find yourself overwhelmed by the amount of food! The portions are massive, the food is delicious, and service is incredibly quick! These folks are serious about serving big meals! Just look at this box! It's filled with shrimp and has two large pieces of fish at the bottom. I'm not usually a big eater, but I can handle a decent amount, and even I couldn't finish this box. The only thing I would suggest is asking for extra dipping sauce; it was that good! Everything in the meal was simply delightful, and I’ll definitely be returning for more!
It has been years since I’ve been to Jumping J’s. It was still as good as it ever was. GENEROUS plates of food. We shared a plate and took food home. We ordered the flounder and Callabash shrimp. I always enjoy visiting Jumping J's. It was my father's favorite restaurant, so whenever we go, we like to share pictures with family members. They instantly know where we are dining. The food is absolutely delicious—I highly recommend it!
The food was better than I expected. We just so happen to find this place while making our way back to VA. Even going through the drive thru service was excellent. This was the shrimp and oyster I got. I didn't want the salad but I got a large for pretty much $16.
