Cracker Barrel - Florence
Cracker Barrel
Description
Cracker Barrel offers a mixed dining experience that often leaves patrons with conflicting impressions. While some highlight decent food service and enjoy the nostalgic decor that evokes memories of farm life, many express frustration over slow service and inconsistent food quality. Reports of inattentive staff and unclean restrooms contribute to dissatisfaction, with several visitors noting the need for improvements in cleanliness and atmosphere. Although the food can hit the mark, especially popular items like Grandma’s sampler, the dining experience is frequently marred by service issues and a noisy environment, reflecting the challenges of catering to a diverse clientele.

Good food service. But just like any other place that caters to travelers, you get your share self-centered patrons. It's a bit noisy for my taste, but the other positive attributes outweigh the noise.
This experience at Cracker Barrel was not what I expected. Our waitress was not attentive at all, and we waited nearly an hour just to receive bread. The service was poor, and unfortunately, the food was disappointing as well—none of it was satisfactory. Overall, I am really unhappy with this visit.
The waitress was friendly, but it took 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and she brought me an open beer. It would have been much better if she had opened it in front of me or served it unopened. While this wasn't the main issue, the bread bowl we received had crumbs in it, and the bowl underneath looked wet and used.
We ordered dinner online for pickup. Got home with the order and over half of it was missing. We immediately called and they said come back and get it. We show up and are told they are out of the items that were missing AND they refuse to refund anything saying we ordered online so it's not their problem. No, this isn't a joke or an exaggeration!
