I ate risotto which was d... read more We waited for the food quite a lot of time and the place not full. The service was definitely not good, some of the waiters were rude. I ate risotto which was dry and the rice was hard, the taste was also not nice. Lastly, they charged us 4 euros for service fee. I ate once here a few years ago and i had liked it a lot. I will not come back.

The Pasta was quite average for the price. The Steaks are the only amazing thing!

T... read more After wanting a classic Florentine experience, we chose this restaurant based on a previous visit and good memories. This time, however, we left disappointed. The signature vegetable crudo dish was riddled with mold. We had already eaten a fair amount before noticing, but upon closer inspection it was clearly visible throughout the entire bowl — red pepper, carrot, radicchio, everything. The dish was quickly whisked away without much acknowledgment, and we continued with the meal. To be fair, some dishes were great. The soups we started with (lentil and onion), and the meat was well prepared. The tiramisu for dessert was also good. Prior to noticing the mold we ordered a fresh salad and grilled radicchio alongside the Florentine steak, but after the initial experience, everything vegetable-related felt difficult to trust or enjoy. The beans were just okay, dry. For us what really stood out was the lack of remorse. There was no apology — if anything, we were met with defensiveness when mentioning it at the register, possibly to the owner. We weren’t expecting anything removed from the bill but a simple acknowledgment would have gone a long way. The space itself is undeniably charming — with a cozy feel. But that only makes the experience more confusing. Once something like this happens, you start noticing everything: a bathroom that feels unclean despite it being early in the evening, dessert trays half full, fruit left out… maybe harmless. At the end of the day, everyone can have an off night — but this didn’t feel like excellence. If you go, perhaps stick to the meat and avoid the vegetables.

I ordered a bistecca alla fiorentina, clearly requesting a small, thick cut cooked as rare/blue as possible. What I received was a medium-rare, overly fatty and poor-quality piece of meat that lacked both proper preparation and care. What made this more frustrating was seeing a neighbouring table served a visibly superior steak, cooked correctly and of much better quality, suggesting inconsistency in both standards and attention to guests. The overall experience was further diminished by an uncomfortable dining environment, and a simple request to change tables was refused. For a restaurant that prides itself on its steak, this was a complete failure and very poor value.
