Very friendly waitress, and a very cool place. They had 40s-60s era jazz/blues playing with a Japanese interior. I really liked that part. Food was good, and they bring you hot towels. Good place View all feedback.
What Jon Manning doesn't like about Matsuya Japanese Restaurant:
The food is great! Very tasty! The restaurant on the other hand looked dirty and unkept. They need to deep clean the place and show the general public that they care. It could generate way more business. View all feedback.
My new favorite restaurant. We drove an hour to try this place and boy was not disappointed. I had the Take Keiseki meal and enjoyed every course. The quality of the food was exceptional and the Sashimi was very fresh. The tempura course was excellent with large shrimps and perfectly fried vegetables. If I lived nearby, I would be here a week. Will definitely bring my daughter who loves Japanese food. The only course I did was the sorted appetizers. Next time?
Good quality Japanese food they supply. The restaurant is very clean. They have Japanese tatami rooms (traditional style Japanese rooms) and it seems a good size of small group dinners.
Truly authentic and amazing family style Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere is great as we are sitting on tatami mat. We ordered sukiyaki hotpot and a kaiseki. All of the food is so delicious! Sashimi is fresh. Vegetables are tasty. Beef is sliced thinly for hotpot. High value for money given the size of the food as well. Lastly, service is impeccable! The owners are authentic Japanese people who always serve with friendly smiles:
Fantastic food! The Bento and grilled fish are great favorites of me. The staff is always super friendly.
We drive about an hour to visit every year for my birthday and reserve the tatami room. This is one of the most authentic Japanese restaurants I found in the states. Does Japan miss me?????????
