Poddy Dodgers - FLINDERS RANGES
Poddy Dodgers
Description
In a bustling atmosphere, this restaurant has left diners divided. While some praise standout dishes like perfectly cooked kangaroo and generous barramundi wings, others bemoan cold, unseasoned meals and exorbitant prices. Diners report bland offerings, such as the salmon and schnitzel burger, accompanied by soggy vegetables and lackluster sides. Despite a few highlights like the emu pie and a fresh salad, many patrons feel disappointed by the overall value and quality. With prices ranging from A$20 to A$60 per person, it seems that some are urging future visitors to consider other dining options.

The meals were incredible. The kangaroo was perfectly cooked, and it was followed by a delightful panacotta. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: A$40–60 Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5

I do not recommend this restaurant at all. The prices are exorbitant for food that is below average. I ordered the salmon with vegetables, and it was incredibly bland—no amount of salt could make it better. It was also excessively wet. The vegetables were barely warm, lacked flavor and seasoning, and were so soggy that my plate was left with a pool of water. My partner had the schnitzel burger, which came with hardly any sauce beyond generic jar mayonnaise, and the bun was dry. A friend of ours ordered the barramundi, which was just as flavorless as the salmon, and they even forgot her mashed potatoes. The chips were unsalted and barely warm. Save your money and choose another place to eat.
I ordered Barramundi wings and what an amazing plate of food I received. Very generous serving of 5 huge succulent wings. In one sentence terrible. Would definitely not recommend it. My choice was a burger (which should be a safe choice) but, it was lukewarm and the fries where just backed (lukewarm as well). Additionally, my father ordered a chicken breast, but the kitchen staff does not know what a chicken is, because in their view a chicken breast is the same as a chicken leg. Finally, their price quality ratio is also odd, for a burger with fries I payed 32 dollars. In my opinion it should be warm with warm and crispy baked fries (for that price). But you could get better quality for your money if you go to a hungry jacks or a Mc Donald’s.
