Sakura - Flagstaff
Sakura
Description
Located in a hotel, this restaurant offers an ambiance that some find too bright and unwelcoming. While the sushi receives praises for freshness and presentation, hibachi grill dishes often miss the mark, with flavors lacking for the price point. Service has been inconsistent, with lengthy waits for food and drink refills dampening the experience. However, standout chefs and friendly staff occasionally redeem the visit, showcasing the potential for memorable meals. Overall, while there are spectacular moments, prospective diners may find better options nearby, like Teppenfuji, for a more fulfilling dining experience.

The sashimi was excellent! It was incredibly fresh, and the seaweed salad was delightful as well. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, providing us with great recommendations for things to do. We will certainly be back to eat here again!
Always amazing service .. Thank you .. waitress was always helping and the chef was amazing ..
My kids and us loved this place. The food, the vibe, THE SHOW!!! And we can walk to it from our hotel room without freezing. What a treat. Merry Christmas!!!!
Best sushi and steak in town! Steak melts in your mouth! The chiefs are super friendly and the service is a breath of fresh air!
I tried to place a takeout order one night, but the staff quietly informed me about a gas leak and asked me to leave since they weren't sure when they could reopen. It was odd because they still had guests seated at tables waiting for their food, and they let them stay without informing the hotel guests about the situation. A few days later, I went back for a dine-in experience. Unfortunately, the service was quite slow, and our server seemed to forget our drink refill requests and the replacement for a dirty dish we received. While our server was attentive to the table next to us, I assumed they were overwhelmed by the few tables they had. They couldn't answer our questions about the menu items and seemed unfamiliar with the ingredients. Overall, the food was fresh, but felt a bit overpriced.
