Positive experience here on the other day when my partner and I came for a late breakfast/brunch menu. located under a quieter road, I found no problems to grab parking even though it was paid. while the restaurant was pretty busy, I could sit right away. both the terrace and the inside seats are also available. the caffe has an eclectic vibe, decorated with the walls with all kinds of eulen related art. While there was a slight delay in our server that initially welcomed us and took our order, she was exceptionally friendly and made some helpful suggestions about the menu. I decided for her cookies and Gravy option and my partner went for her fried egg sandwich. I am a huge cookie and gravy fan, and my meal was pretty good my biscuit was a tad on the drier side and I would have worked the meat that they added to the gravy (her choice, I went for sausage) better, but it was finally a delicious dish. the fried egg sandwich of my partner was well made to get it in sourdough, is the way to go, and the egg and speck paired beautifully with the fresh, tasteful tomato and mayo. on another note I was impressed how quickly the food came up. overall I enjoyed my place here and I would like to recommend this place.
We loved the dog friendly environment, helpful staff and clean bathrooms. Getting seated was easy and our server got our orders in quickly despite a lot of people waiting on a Friday morning. The Chai tea was excellent but everything else lacked flavor and my eggs were cold and went to my dogs. Good not great.
Flagstaff has some excellent breakfast options, and near the top of the stack is Toasted Owl Café. Great food, absolutely great sevice, fun decor, lots of seating and wonderful outside tables as well. Located on Mike's Pike and Phoenix St, The Toasted Owl is a local legend with two locations, this being the original. We arrived on a Sunday morning to a 20 min wait, which seems reasonable for a popular breakfast spot. The staff was quick to take our party to a table, and the wait was shorter than first quoted. We sat outside, and they opened the table umbrella for us, which was kind. I ordered the breakfast sandwich which was their custom take on a typical toasted fried egg sandwich . It came with wheat toast, tomatoes, cheese, bacon and of course a fried egg. It was excellent. My son ordered breakfast enchiladas which came with black beans, scrambled eggs and enchiladas with green chili sauce. Inside the enchiladas he had beef and they came with spinach inside as well. The food all tasted excellent and came out fairly quick. The service was phenomenal throughout. Our table had a lot of custom requests and the wait staff handled it like pros, with patience and kindness. Truly great to find such excellence in customer service at this eatery. If you're looking for a solid breakfast and great service, look no further than the Toasted Owl.
Friends and I ate brunch here yesterday. The atmosphere is vibrant and fun, and if you love owls like we do, even better! I wish I’d taken more pictures. We sat on the patio and were served by Maddie (sp? . She was attentive, helpful, and friendly. Our food came quickly and was delicious! We ordered the beet salad, French toast with crispy bacon, French toast with jalapeño bacon, and the Reuben with fries. My iced chai was very good and my friends enjoyed their drip coffee. Cold drinks can be ordered in glass owl or cactus cups that come with lids and can be taken home for an additional charge. You can even purchase just about anything you see there! They have lots of tee options, mugs, stickers, and various owl tchotchkes. They even had a cute photo spot! Kid and pet-friendly. Several other tables had their dogs with them. I highly recommend the Toasted Owl and can’t wait to go back! Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Delicious local breakfast joint in Flagstaff. The staff are super friendly and the food was tasty. We were happy for vegan pancake options for our DF kiddos! They also were able to do cracked egg options as well since the egg mix has dairy. My husband got the eggs Benedict and he commented that the eggs were cooked perfectly and loved that spinach was included. I got the sausage scramble and it was great. Didn’t skimp on sausage or cheese. Coffee was decent. In general, all portions were abundant and easy to make accommodations for allergies. We arrived before 9am on a Saturday and didn’t have to wait. When we left at 9:45, there was a significant line outside. Servers were stretched a bit thin and my own personal concern about cutlery being available in a “self serve” way (lots of people touching them since they’re in holders on the table) are the only reasons for docking stars from service and atmosphere. There are owls *everywhere* in art, merch, and more! Everything is for sale. We bought a cute mug for a friend and my son bought a little painting. So cute.
