Kachina
Menu
The menu of Kachina from Flagstaff contains about 38 different menus and drinks. On average you pay about $5.3 for a dish / drink.
Nestled in a somewhat uninviting location, this restaurant has garnered mixed reviews from its visitors. While the food receives praise for its flavor, including standout dishes like shredded beef tacos and unique blue corn offerings, the setting often feels underwhelming and dated. Service quality varies; some customers enjoyed attentive staff, while others faced lapses, such as forgotten items and menu confusion regarding pricing. Despite these inconsistencies, many agree that the food—especially the homemade touches and zesty salsa—keeps them coming back. Overall, it's a spot worth visiting, albeit with tempered expectations in mind.

Was Arlie Leuschke at Kachina a mag?
We ate here on a recommendation from a local when we were passing through. On first impression, the sign for the restaurant should be in the front of the place instead of around back so you don't end up parking in the back. It also is not very cosmetically appealing. What Missouri Jenkins dislikes about Kachina:
First time here. The place seems underlit and a bit dingy with its carpeting. The service was lackluster (they forgot our sopapillas), but the food was fine. Shredded beef taco had a nice crunch, and the tamale had a decent kick. In all, nothing to get excited for, but it will fill you up. View all feedback.
I give this place a perfect score of 10/10 and will absolutely return! The service and food were outstanding! The homemade dishes have a personal touch that makes you feel right at home. Our servers were attentive, making sure our drinks were always topped off and checking in frequently to see if we needed anything. The food was incredible once again! Be sure to try the Ceviche!!!
My grandparents took me to this restaurant, and it's been a while since my last visit. I ordered the three-item special for $11.00 (totaling $12.20 after tax), which included a dried beef taco, chicken picado, and a cheese enchilada. The taco was incredibly flavorful and juicy, and I absolutely love their salsa. The service here is excellent; you can tell they have regular customers and they pay close attention to everyone. Overall, it was another delightful visit!
I love salsa here in Kachina. Serrano paprika make it a little spicy than other places, but the pieces of avocado make a beautiful contrast. The blue corn pieces in the menu are unique and delicious. There is actually a connection between blue corn and kachina, which is only found in North-Arizona. This is traditional Sonoran food with a perfect balance of something extra. It's not new or unusual, but I can't think of a reason to give less than 5 stars. An evaluation said it was expensive, but at $13 for a two article combo I have no idea what is more expensive than any other restaurant with servers.
I ate here for the first time today and real conversation, this place was great! The building itself seems to be dated. But I didn't come to decoration or architecture. I came for dinner and it wasn't disappointed. I had the choice of three combo, with two ground beef tacos, hard shell, cheese enchilada, and the grilled skewered shrimps. The iced tea was also refreshing. And to finish everything, the service was off the hook! From hostess to the server to bus staff, we were all well treated and it was a very welcoming environment. We will return to this facility in the future. I suggest you try.
