Food was good. Coming from this fat kid, that says a lot. BBQ is easy enough to make but difficult to be good at and here it's on point. What Rick H doesn't like about Hickory's Smokehouse Bbq:
We ordered pulled pork sandwiches and a sampler plate for four people. Unfortunately, the brisket was dry and tasteless. The pulled pork sandwiches were soggy and mushy, making them impossible to eat like a normal sandwich. We had to use a fork to pick out the pork from the soggy buns. Wow, the BBQ here was so good and very cheap. In Phoenix it is hard to get a big sampler as on the photo for $30. It feeds 2 people and we were filled and couldn't finish. The staff is great and will answer all questions without frustration for you. All on the menu is cheap, large drinks with free refills, and there is a cabinet full of games. Great place for a BBQ mood.
Best BBQ I had in the north of Arizona. And the prices are good. This place is great! The BBQ Fries with Brisket Point can be my favorite BBQ dish ever.
So delicious! A Pit Stop in town turned out to be a great idea how we found this jewel! Brisket was for dying and so were the BBQ beans. Sweet tea is also great! Stop it!
This place was AMAZING!!!! We were on our way back to Phoenix and stumbled randomly at this place! What a GREAT disaster! The prices were EXCELLENT!!! The top pork sandwich I got was $5!!!! It was amazing( I loved the claw she used on her!!! We also have the BBQ frits minus the meat. The Mac cheese sauce they used was so good!!!! We will make Flagstaff a day trip just to beat the Phoenix warmth and get this Bbq again!!!!!!
The BBQ here is excellent! It has a nice smoked flavor. I usually get the brisket point and pulled pork combo. OUTSTANDING! The staff is friendly, the decor is nice. Ya gotta stop in if you’re in Flagstaff.
