We have been here twice and the service and food are great. Today we went in for a cool drink and we were given complimentary mini pizzas and peanuts. The pastries are also delightful. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Try this place, it is worth a visit
This was our third time around in this quaint seaside italian village and we always start our day at Bondolfi. It's a local hangout...Coffee and pastries are good. You have to try the whole wheat croissant with honey (made without butter). Excellent!!! It's also a nice place for pre dinner drinks or late night hangout.
Fregene is a quiet seaside town, well suited for getting over jetlag on arrival in Rome, or to mentally prepare for the voyage back to the USA, and Bondolfi Cafe is a great place to help one through these transitions. As with many bars in Italy, salty snacks are served at no charge and go well with a cool glass of white wine. We went no farther into the menu than wine and dessert, and both were excellent. The gelato was creamy, but not overwhelmingly so. We look forward to returning to this cafe.
