The recommended fish while quite tasty, however was... read more Dining at Docking 9 taught us a valuable lesson about NOT asking the price for the waiters recommendations . The recommended fish while quite tasty, however was not spectacular. The price was quite spectacular- 3 times anything that was on the menu !! I guess you can say we got the “tourist special” . Great lesson to get at the start of a trip through Italy. I would return to Docking 9, if only for the ambiance and the wine . And to remember to ask”quanto?”

I looked up a few restaurants nearby and decided on Docking 9 based on other reviews. I ordered wine to accompany my main meal pasta with mixed seafood. I ended my beautiful dinner with the waiter's recommendation to try the ricotta dessert. Delicious : Well, what can I say ? fantastic food, wine attentive 5 star service in beautiful surrounds on the marina. Compliments to the chef. Considering the decor, view high standard of service , you'd expect to be paying a lot more , yet Docking 9 has very reasonable prices considering the above (and I would say probably less than comparable restaurants . You must try it, highly recommend it !

Thankfully one of the team there spoke perfect English and guided us through the Italian only menu and the wine options so our meal could not have been more memorable... Great seafood, superb atmosphere and service.. Thoroughly recommend!!!

The setting was beautiful overlooking the marina and the restaurant itself was immaculate and had an ‘upmarket’ classy vibe. The staff were friendly and let us have dessert although usually their kitchen would have closed by the time we finished our meal. Overall, was a lovely experience and the cocktails are AMAZING! TIPS: Menu is fully Italian so make sure you have a translator on your phone. Limited opening hours so check before arriving.
