The atmosphere inside is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or a romantic dinner with a special someone. The menu is full of delicious options, from comforting classics to creative dishes that impressed me. The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall experience. I will definitely be returning to Fireflies again soon.

When we went to the bar for more, the staff seemed annoyed at how quickly we returned. Music was turned down and last call was made at 11:15pm, despite the event being booked until 12:30am. Despite no one being intoxicated, the staff refused to serve us, claiming we were all too drunk. Food was scarce and when we tried to address these issues with the staff, they became hostile and accused us of being rude. This behavior was unexpected and seemed to only occur after the male guests left. It's a shame because Fireflies has the potential to be a great venue, but the unprofessionalism of the staff ruined our event. After reading similar negative reviews online, I wish we had chosen a different venue. It's disappointing to see such poor treatment of customers, and I hope this behavior doesn't become the norm in Australia. I hope others are warned before choosing to dine at Fireflies.
