There is a range of options for breakfast served all day. The rest of the menu gives different choices but you can find a nice meal whatever you fancy. The waitresses were particularly friendly and the meals and coffee both arrived quite quickly. Definitely worth a visit. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Gutz Cafe:
It is a bakery/cafe that only opens at daytime hours (usually close by 3pm, I think). I came here often when living on the same street just a few blocks away. Usually it is a good place for both breakfast and lunch. While their sandwiches are all right, I especially like their bagel-like "simit" with cheese (a Turkish specialty, since owners are originally from Turkey)They do offers free Wi Fi for paying customers. Hot coffee love that! Warm grilled chicken salad nice Chicken burger yummy flavour. Service time from order to delivery is not fast but....food is good. So, if you are not in a hurry its pretty good.
It fits beautifully into the Fitzroy vibe with al fresco areas as well as oodles of seating inside. The staff are really quite lovely. I ordered and sat enjoying the atmosphere until my late breakfast arrived. The croissant arrived a wee bit burned...and while that would offend some... I actually enjoyed it nonetheless. The tea was English Breakfast Twinnings so it's what I would enjoy at home. It is somewhere I would stop at again... and hopefully my croissant wouldn't get singed. :
Couldn’t ask for a better breakfast. The mushrooms were amazing. Would recommend the Aussie outback.
Fairly basic cafe that makes wraps and sandwiches to order. It was quite empty when they took our order. Others who came in after us though had their meals delivered well before us. We waited a long time nearly half an hour for our meals to come. A salad sandwich and a caesar salad. I was so hungry I forgot to take photos when the meals came. We asked for our meals several times. There was no apology for the delay. The food was ok but nothing special. We wouldn’t consider returning here.
Something about Turkish Breakfast that puts a smile on my face . This cute little cafe on Brunswick st Fitzroy didn't disappoint. The girls greet you with a warm smile and it's a relaxed atmosphere. The selection of Turkish breakfast is wonderfully mouth watering. If you have not experienced traditional Turkish breakfast, you are missing out on something extra ordinary. I went for the simple sucuk and eggs with toasted and buttered bread, mmmmm I didn't realized how much I had missed it. If you are in the area, drop in and enjoy the vast selection of their breakfast menu, you will love it. Dont forget the Turkish coffee afterward enjoy
