Delicious but the staff member was rude and unwelcoming after I hesitated for 0.1 seconds when asked if I was ready to order. Other staff were friendly and made up for it so I will give 4 stars instead of the 3. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Service: Dine in Price per person: $40–60
Good pizzas. Highly recommend. Some pizzas do take 40 minutes to be ready so be mindful of that. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Service: Dine in Price per person: $20–40 Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Paid street parking
T A V E R N S T Y L E! Such a shame I don 't see more photos of people getting the Tavern Style pizzas! As someone born and raised in Wisconsin, I couldn 't believe it when I saw that Deep End had Tavern Style on the menu. For those of you who don 't know, Tavern/Pub Style pizza is what you 'll find in pretty much every bar across the upper midwest. It 's also the default style when you go to a pizza joint, or when see frozen pizza at the supermarket. It 's what most Midwesterners will associate as Pizza and is FAR superior to the monstrosity that is deep dish (not knocking on Deep End, I just don 't recognize deep dish as a legitimate pie . Basically, if you want the TRUE midwest pizza experience, you better order the Tavern Style. Honestly, Deep End Knocks it out of the park. Everything about their Tavern Style is damn near perfection. I felt like I could have been back home. The rich and spicy sauce, the wafer thin crust, the sausage itself... LAWRDY it good! The only thing missing was a view of the lake. Absolutely nailed it! My only VERY MINOR critiques as a nostalgic Midwesterner who 's far from home: I was really missing the shaker of parmesan that usually sits on the table right next to the chili flakes. To me, it 's gotta be there! Would have maybe liked a bit more corn meal on the bottom of the crust and a little more of a crispy burn cheese overflow around the edges. The crispy cheese bits are the best part! Was a little bummed that the Tavern Style is dine in only but i 'll get over it : Very happy that Deep End is just a short walk from my house and you best bet I 'll be going back for the Tavern Style every time. I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The service was excellent, and the staff provided great advice on what and how much to order, as well as drink recommendations. The collaboration with The Mill is a huge success; I honestly thought they were running out of food because I could have happily eaten everything all night long. It’s no surprise that this place is busy—it’s truly exceptional, especially the deep-fried dishes. I can’t wait to come back and try everything we saw on the menu. Overall, it was a wonderful time!
