What JW doesn't like about Alley’s Alehouse:
We love all the activities! Fun and always updated arcade games. We love the food and drinks. A good amount of choices to look through and try. Now for the three stars. The service, its awful. We were seated in the restaurant portion and we never got served. We ended up leaving. Servers are kids, they have zero experience. This has happened three times so its most likely the experience most of the time. View all feedback.
Been wrestling with this review for quite some time. Our recent visit this passed Thursday was the last time I would go and not write a review if the experience wasn 't any better than my previous visits. First, let me say I really like this place. It has grown over the past several years. I want to see it succeed as I enjoy taking my family here. The arcade is huge for kids but honestly a bit too expensive. Attached is a photo of the screen on the kiosk where you buy credits for the arcade. Notice the 'no refunds and no change will be given ' in the screen- what a HORRIBLE message to send a customer. So, I put in a $50 bill and want $30 in credits I 'm now stuck with $50 of credits? What a scam. Some of the games provide for less than 2 minutes of play. Most recent visit 3 of the games were broken and had no signs on them- the Mario kart left player driving wheel steers to the right without trying, the fidget spinner game took credits 2x without allowing play and the 3rd player on Halo wouldn 't allow for the grenade trigger to work while in play. That said, here is the disappointment in the restaurant. The dine-in experience has always been horrible for us. Not one time, not two times but 5 times. This last Thursday is what has been the same experience each time we have come: after being seated we waited nearly 15 minutes for a server to greet us and take a drink order. 15 minutes later drink order arrives and we place dinner order. Twenty minutes later half of our order comes out so half of our party just waited. Then 15 minutes later the other half of the order which was 2 personal pizzas arrived. We finished dinner before the gal asked us if we would like drink refills which we said yes and they never came. We waited 25 minutes after we were done with our meal for our bill. I paid and tipped the gal $20 cash for a $60 order so as to stop the negative energy progressing through the universe. Good grief this is the experience literally to the tee 5x in a row over the course of 3 years. I believe its how they run the restaurant to be honest. I can be patient and I understand that bad nights can happen in the service industry but this is just ridiculous. Do better please. This place has become another place where a family has to nearly pay an arm and a leg to habe a good time. Let 's stop accosting families with expensive entertainment. You can male significant profit over time through repeat visits rather than sticking it to someone on a single visit. Come on Pinejads- DO BETTER.
We came to Pinheads due to my grandmother wanting to do the tenderloin trail. Which I have never heard of or know any of the rules. Lol but anywho she called me today asking of I forgot to put in a code for this? She went to Roots today and the server gave her a code. So I called your store to get help and they want my grandmothers card number, a receipt time date. All is fine besides card number not comfortable giving this info away.Is this something they normally ask or need the card info for? I also asked to speak to a manager and was told they didn't have one at the time? Also seems strange. If I could get a message back ensuring you need my grandmothers card info to receive her code. Thanks Christina M

(Make your reservations early for busy days and weekends. As of today, the arcade appears to be rolling out some new card technology, and there are some growing pains…a few machines were not functioning and the card machines ran out of the new RFID card for a time. As they work this out, it should run pretty smooth. Also, this weekend, it was busy, and the pizza counter was running behind. The manager (Jace offered some soft drinks for our wait. I’m was good with that trade off.
This is my favorite bowling alley (along with Bowl 32 (formerly Stardust to go to with friends and family. The bowling lanes are very good here and are easy to use. Whenever I had problems with the lanes, they were quick to fix them. I enjoyed bowling here. They have touchscreen kiosks to order food. They serve Pepsi products here. When I placed the order, I went back to my table and waited. Unfortunately, the order must have not been received, so I ended up waiting an hour and a half for my food to come. When my father consulted the staff, they consulted the manager, and the manager was SUPER friendly and made up for it by giving us free chips and queso, a free extra soda and water, and a $25 gift card to the bowling alley. I was very lucky they were able to fix it! THE STAFF WERE ALSO FRIENDLY AS WELL. The arcade games are fun and they have cool prizes here. This is the best bowling alley to go to in Fishers as well as Hamilton County. Please come here if you can.
I wanted to personally thank Tori for being a phenomenal bartender and waitress for our family. Your the BEST!
