We have been to Florence many times, and eaten at many of the restaurants here, including the well known ones and many off the tourist path we were here for one month and how lucky we were to find Salino it is one of the best meals we have ever eaten in Florence. What 519wizk doesn't like about Salino Restaurant Wine Bar:
It 's a nice and a cozy place. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The startes where fantastic and tasted like 5 stars. But now let 's talk about the pasta! It was not al dente at all even for a non Italian! Overcooked and too salty! It 's really pity, cause the evening started tasty but then the pasta... View all feedback.
Super friendly service, very tasty dishes and great Tuscan wine!! Recommended!
Food, wine and service was exquisite. Best octopus I've ever had anywhere in any country. Service by Carolina was also a major difference maker. Appropriately attentive, friendly and professional. This was an anniversary dinner for my wife and I and we couldn't have picked a better place!

The atmosphere is elegant but NOT stuffy it is a smaller and incredibly beautiful place. And third, the food truly outstanding I have eaten many steaks in Florence, and this was categorically the best yet but the pastas are also divine. Fabulous!!
I visited Salino with my sister on our first night in Firenze as it was close but it couldn't have set a better mood for our trip. Our waitress was very accommodating of our terrible Italian and treated us so well, even teaching us how to olive oil our bread the Italian way. The food was high quality, prices were decent and when I explained that I was sober, my complimentary shot was switched for some lemonade : My sister tried the house prosecco and spoke very highly of both drinks. I really have nothing negative to say and we have plans to return tonight!
We loved our meal here! We went on a weekday but couldn’t believe it wasn’t busier. It is on quieter street outside of touristy area which we appreciated. Cozy but elegant, perfect date night vibes with larger room downstairs that could have more party vibes. My husband had the octopus which he’s had a few times in Italy but this was by far his favorite. I had salmon and we shared beef carpaccio and creme brûlée, nothing disappointed. Our server was lovely, attentive and pleasant. She said they have another restaurant that is more established in city center but we prefer the quiet streets better so perfect for us! We would come back when we are in Florence!
