Two visits (first and last nights) were planned (for logistical reasons), the third was prompted by our getting very wet in torrential rain and needing to change before dinner! The décor is modern and minimalist. The menu is quite extensive and we found enough variety to sample ten dishes between us. The food is very good, but I wouldn't say excellent. Service was first rate. For us, the portion sizes were a little on the large size, but would probably suit most people. To summarize, a good alternative to going out for dinner.
We stayed at the Hilton Florence Metropole and, after a long workday, decided to visit this hotel restaurant. To our surprise, the food was very good (not quite like the fine Italian restaurants in central Florence, but close) and the service was excellent. Chef Luigi does a nice job on his dishes and they are not concerned about special requests. In addition, the quality and portions are both very good. The maître de, Lionel Manrique, offers excellent service. He is friendly, attentive and very customer-focused. His timing of visits to the table is well done. Perhaps his best attribute is his ensuring your dining experience will be remembered.
Ate here on two evenings during a recent multi-night stay and the food was surprisingly good for hotel food. The maitre d' and wait staff are also quite nice. The bread needed a little work the last night we were there; it was stone stale. Food prepared from the outside grill is extremely well done and well presented. And for a large hotel chain the prices are fairly reasonable, too. Overall, it presents a good option if you're in town on business and need to entertain guests close to your hotel room. Or if you're just too tired to go out again after a busy day of sightseeing.
I was really expecting this restaurant to be better than it was. Menu was quite limited and had strange flavour combinations and when food arrived did not to meet the descriptions, waiter seemed uninterested in serving us. They bought me the wrong main meal and also our pudding despite being described as a chocolate fondant was cold and hard. Food did not taste freshly cooked and was expensive for what we got. Would not eat here again.
This restaurant in the Hilton in Florence has very friendly staff in a classy and clean dining room. The food, however, was not the best. We ordered Ravioli, Pork belly Fillet, and the Hilton Burger. The Ravioli had a very bitter and bland taste, the Pork Belly was a very small proportion and the burger bun was very hard. Other meals for dinner may be much better. Breakfast was phenomenal so don’t discount it completely!
