Caffe Il Sole - Firenze

It had just started to rain (yes it does happen in Florence) and we stopped for a couple of lovely Campari Spritz that turned out to be less sweet than the aperol version. Friendly service and we loved the sign in the toilet that your “long john is not as long as you think it is so stand closer”. Had us chuckling for hours.

Leaving Florence after a week had to stop here one last time on our way to the train station!! The lady running this Caffe is AMAZING!! She is kind efficient the Caffe Latte’s are hot delicious!! We also had the 2 egg breakfast w/bacon toast was perfect!! BTW the croissants do not disappoint! Be sure to add this cafe to your list!! Ciao

Drinks nice food ok. However dessert was microwaved ! Lady pleasent enough In centre of Florence with tables on street. So watch world go around

For drinks this place is ok, at least our beers were good and reasonably priced. Avoid the food as it is microwaved, nothing fresh about the pasta. Worst of all we saw our Tiramisu being defrosted after hearing it come out of the freezer. The Tiramisu was awful, runny from being defrosted and slightly warm. Awful cafe/ bar best to avoid. Female staff member was friendly

My friend and I really appreciated that this cafe would give us coffees to go after a busy morning. It definitely seems geared to tourists, but we thought the prices were fair. We wouldn’t go out of our way to come back, but would def stop by again if it was in our path.
