Excellent standard of food, choice of dishes and perfect flavours, definitely top choice for both take away and eat in Chinese cuisine. Service is brilliant, polite and friendly with a relaxed approach. Made our anniversary special with sparkling desert and ‘happy anniversary’ banner next to our table. Highly recommended. What Vivian Yanina Pinto Figueroa doesn't like about Chef Peking:
**Meal Type:** Dinner
**Price per Person:** £20–30
**Food Rating:** 2/5
**Service Rating:** 3/5
**Atmosphere Rating:** 2/5
I recently dined at this restaurant for dinner, and unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming. The food didn't meet my expectations, earning a rating of just 2 out of 5. While the service was somewhat better, with a rating of 3, it still lacked the attentiveness I had hoped for. The atmosphere was also disappointing, coming in at a 2. Overall, I found my visit to be lacking in several aspects.
In the last few months we were with a group of family and friends here. we have tried a good selection of dresses and all have enjoyed their spits. the personal is friendly and the service is very attentive to the best art and wise. there is also a beautiful ambiente. In portion sizes are generous and the prices are very favorable for the other. we'll be back soon.
We have come here for years, although we are miles away for both cars living and not comparing them in any local. easy to park (either by shops) or small parking behind. eating is fresh and of high quality and the staff is very friendly and attentive (again to drinking top-ups etc., but not in their face). Sunday evening is a good value with buffet night, which is ordered by a menu. only negatiw is sometimes, when we were, we are sitting on a small table near a large table (8 plus) so that it can be a quite loud evening, so we will in future always ask to get away from larger parties that come.
Oh this is one of my favourite Chinese/Cantonese restaurants in the area. Superb service and comes at a pace too! The dishes were excellent and so tasty, I’d say it’s around £60-£80 if you’re having starters/mains and drinks but we’ll worth it! Gets very busy so you’ll need to book on weekends. Again the service is excellent here.
Went here with my wife for a treat to celebrate international woman's day. The food was excellent, every dish was delicious and portion size was good but not great. The service was really good and overall a great dinner. It was at the top end of what we have paid to eat out Chinese, so would be more of a treat than a regular meal.
Hadn't been here in years (moved away), so feared it must surely have declined after all this time. Not just pleasantly surprised, have to say it's now one of my favourite restaurants. Food is stellar, service is good, and there's an art in keeping the place so high-quality after all this time. Can't attest to the takeaways, but if you want a really good restaurant evening then you can do worse than go here!
