What Helmuth Peters doesn't like about Capristo:
Coming in a large group we enjoyed the salads and the pizza. All pasta was just average, al dente was taken too serious as it was not cooked long enough.Coming from a sports event everybody was too tired to complain.Service is very friendly, though. Descent price level. View all feedback.
This as recommended by Ibis hotel staff and I was very impressed. It looks like a fat spoon in an industrial area, but the food was on site. The antipasto was excellent and the pizza was also good. My colleague was impressed by the shells. The Pana Cota Dessert was somewhat disappointing, but overall this was a great value for money. Service was also very good.

I didn't think I'd go here because from the outside it's just not attractive, but after reading the reviews I just visited it. And yes, the food is delicious!
We stayed in Fiedlerstadt for one night, due to an 11-hour layover between flights. We originally thought about going to the hotel restaurant, but it did not look appealing to us, as my wife had never had typical German food, and the hotel restaurant did not have a good selection. We were super happy we made this decision... We ventured out to the nearby surroundings and found Capristo. We were hungry, and since my wife is half Italian, and we did not want to walk too much farther, we walked-in. To our surprise, they had one lone German dish on the menu Schweineschnitzel), which was exactly what I wanted my wife to try! We both ordered a Schnitzel, some Italian wine and Dinckel Hacker, a local beer brewed in the Stuttgart area since 1888! The food and service was great and we left very satisfied. Absolutely nothing to complain about this place... it was also packed of people from different backgrounds Italian, American, German, Swiss, and Brazilian), and no-one left dissatisfied, or complained about anything. We highly recommend Capristo to anyone. Go check it out! We
It's like stepping out of Germany and into Italy, only you don't have to go far to taste the naturally fresh flavors for which Italian cuisine is famous. Its worth every penny. The ambiance is classic, the pizzas are the best in town, the service is personal and there is nice Italian crowd that shows up confirming its authenticity. Ask the chef to make you something special and I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
