Worse service ever, one full hour to get our drink and half hour more to get our food. Half of the order was wrong. They wanted us to pay for what we order instead of what we got served. SCAM!

We did not want to be caught in a tourist trap around the venues of Dali. So we went off few steps and found this Pastry shop/bakery which had also a food venue upstairs. Here you can get also hearty snacks like roasted breads, hot and cold sandwiches for little money. Only disadvantage: when I asked for a menu in foreign language I hoped to get one in English, Frech or German, but it was in Spanish (Castellan) since we were in Catalonia and so the original menu was in Catalan.

I live in Boston and went to Figueres with my wife and two daughters (4 and 6). Be aware they have 2 shops, so make sure you head to the recently refurbished at Plaça de La Palmera. It is a beautiful place. They have big tables, lots of space for the strollers, high chairs, changing station for babies, crayons for kids, and even a big TV, where you can ask them to put cartoons for the kids. It is bakery with an excellent selection of breads of all types, made with local products and bio, we loved the ´Tramuntana´ bread. We had breakfast, and we returned for lunched. In fact, you can eat there at any time. Inside or at the tables outside. I had grilled ciabatta with tuna for breakfast, with a could pressed green detox juice, and it was amazing! My wife is vegeterian, and she had a delicious quinoa salad with a red juice. Good value for money. Tottally recommended!!!

Service, besides the grumpiness, no gloves for handling food, dirty sitting area, bad chairs and the food to keep far far away from. Stale sandwiches and bad coffee. Just dont waste your money.

After visiting the Dali museum in Figueres, I had lunch at Maia, located near 'Plaça de la Palmera ' (Palm Square). It is an excellent bakery for both breakfast and lunch. I would strongly recommend the grilled sandwiches, although they have a wide range of gluten free, organic and vegan products. The atmosphere is great, and the waitresses are very attentive. The price is right for the quality you get.
