What Niki d doesn't like about Robertsons:
I have been in to Robertson's a couple of times now for lunch. I am coeliac and need to eat gluten free. There is always at least one gluten free soup option served with gf bread. I haven't tried any but on the menu there are options for sandwiches served with gf bread. There is normally a gf tray bake although it technically isn't gluten free as it isn't wrapped and is beside normal non gf cakes, this is something t... View all feedback.
Lovely cafe and great staff! Also has an area for children. Enjoyed a delicious breakfast here, will definitely be a regular x
Stopped in on our way back to Edinburgh after a night at Balbirnie House. Really homely feel, the staff were lovely. We had one Big Breakfast one Big Vegan breakfast and the food was cooked to perfection! We will make a point of stopping in next time we are nearby :
My wife and I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. We enjoyed a delicious coffee and cake. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the quality of the food was excellent.
I often stop by this dependable café for lunch when I'm in Kirkcaldy High Street because they offer a nice variety of straightforward dishes at affordable prices. I always enjoy checking out the daily selection of cakes and tray bakes, and it's a great opportunity to catch up on the news with the complimentary newspapers. The recent addition of coconut milk as an option and a wider selection of ice cream desserts was a pleasant surprise. I brought a friend who had never been before for a lunch date, and she was impressed with the soup and salad she ordered. She even said she would definitely be coming back!
This café offers a nice variety of hot filled rolls and full Scottish breakfasts. However, I was disappointed when I tried to order a simple buttered roll for a child who doesn't eat meat and was refused. The reason given was that the rolls are typically for sausages, etc. This lack of flexibility was not ideal. Additionally, the café has a practice of serving hot drinks well before the hot food, which can be frustrating. It almost feels like a tactic to sell more drinks. The next day, we visited BB's in the shopping center, where they went out of their way to accommodate our request for a butter baguette, even though it wasn't on the menu. It would be beneficial for the owners of this café to take note of BB's customer service and consider revising their policies.
