What D7491FCtw likes about Balgove Larder:
Loved this little gem of a find. The quality of the Farmshop produce is second to none, a butchery of the finest I have seen in a long time and am a staple Farmshop shopper. Really nice casual feel in the cafe, enough of a dejection to cater for the most. Portion size a tiny bit small (my children were still hungry). Definitively worth a trip. Just a tip to the staff in the cafe, a smile and a hello would be nice, to... View all feedback. What Claire Williams doesn't like about Balgove Larder:
Not flexible or willing to accommodate customers. We are local and had walked from a nearby village with our dogs. Asked if we could have soup to sit outside. “Soup is only for inside”. Seems petty given a mere 5 feet away. Won’t go back and instead go to a host of other venues that are less rigid and more accommodating. View all feedback.

Very good place to eat with colleagues during the day. Good options for vegetarians. Also has an excellent farm shop/deli alongside.

read moreBalgove Larder is gaining a reputation as a delightful spot for brunch and local shopping, praised for its fresh, tasty offerings and welcoming atmosphere. However, recent experiences highlight inconsistent service and frustrating policies, leaving some customers disappointed. While many patrons rave about the delicious food—from mussels to homemade granola—long wait times and inflexible accommodations tarnish the overall experience. The rising prices of daily items also raise eyebrows, prompting questions about value. Despite its charm and potential, improvements in service and pricing transparency are essential for Balgove Larder to reach its full culinary promise.
The food, drink, and cakes were lovely. We had to wait a long time to be served, had to ask someone to take out order. Other people who came in after us had bee...
