Stopped here on our way out from a 3-day camping trip and it was packed with people from all walks of life. We had heard about Fields Station through popular YouTubers and wanted to try their infamous shakes! Be warned, this place gets VERY busy on the weekends! Although we waited an hour for one shake, it was worth it! So, if you have a little extra time on your hands and don't mind the long line, go for it. There's... View all feedback.
What Larry E doesn't like about The Fields Station:
After all the reviews regarding their famous milk shakes, I must say I wasn 't impressed. Not only did it take longer to make than the burger I ordered and finished, but the shake (had ordered a malt) was just average. The burger was also nothing to get excited about. I think for me what made the shake taste average was the use of soft serve ice cream rather than hand scooped ice cream. I get better tasting shakes/ma... View all feedback.

Although we waited an hour for one shake, it was worth it! So, if you have a little extra time on your hands and don't mind the long line, go for it. There's plenty of time to spark up a conversation with other fellow campers (like we did)! You'll never know who'll you'll meet. Staff are really friendly, despite the hustle and bustle. Fields Station is an epic gateway to the Steen Mountains and Alvord Desert landscape.
If nothing else, stop for a milkshake. Hands down the best one I’ve ever had! Service: 5
All I can say is this place is a life saver when your running out of fuel and there is no other places for fuel readily available. Good eats and friendly staff.
Make sure to read how many bad reviews are here about the confrontational owner. She will reply to every bad review and try to make it seem like every customer is entitled and abusive but it is very much the other way around. I 've been visiting Fields Station for almost a decade now, bringing out of state or country friends in for the milkshake and a photo with the milkshake count board. The staff has always been so sweet and helpful, especially when I travel solo and hang out for sometimes hours at a time. Somehow I 've been lucky enough to never cross paths with the owner before a couple months ago when she verbally attacked me and refused me service just because she was stressed out. I 'm really sad to say I not only will never be back but a special spot for so many years and memories is trash now. This will always be a she said she said situation and I haven 't left my bad review yet because I know she will attack me again in her response but I want you as the consumer to make the judgement call based on how many reviews echo what I 'm also telling you. Do not give her your money or time just because they 're in the middle of nowhere she doesn 't get to mistreat people and be utterly disrespectful. Make your own judgement with the evidence you see here and in other review platforms. Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 1

So I guess this place does ok is it 's out in the middle of no where with the closest competition being 100 miles away. Trust...
