Cedar Garden Restaurant - Fernie

The setting inside looks like it would be a pretty grim place for a meal but as a take-away place the food is actually very good. Nothing notable, but nice Chinese food.

Inexpensive meal that you get to serve yourself at the buffet which is filled quite regularly with the basics, wonton soup, chicken balls, crispy beef, lo men noodles. nothing special, just lots of food for not a lot of money.

Somewhat disappointed by the food here, especially as Fernie is a town with great dining options available. The sauces are bland, batter is to heavy and thick, soup was borderline gelatinous. The serving sizes are fairly generous making it ok value for money, but ask yourselfWould you like a small amount of great food, or a huge helping of sub-par food....If it's the former, you'll properly like the all you can eat buffet which probably is a good deal. I'm prefer flavour, so most likely won't be eating here again.

I enjoy visiting this buffet on weekends. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. My favorite dishes are the ginger beef and sweet and sour boar. The sauce is especially tasty.

I didn't want to spend too much on the shrimp, but overall it was delicious. The prices at this restaurant are very reasonable, probably the best in the Elchtal area.
