1st time visit, a week day evening, it was quiet but the staff and customers were welcoming, the pool table is in excellent condition, food was delicious (I had seconds! Not a huge selection of drinks but had what I wanted so no problem for us. Ended up staying til closing time with the jukebox playing a wide variety of music. Would definitely visit again.
What Alan B doesn't like about The White Heather:
The white heather is a classic lager taps sports pub. It has pool tables and dart boards. Large screen TVs and lots of offers on beer and food. It is clean, well managed and friendly. But not the spot for a quiet drink. Not really my kind of place but really popular with many other people. It's my go to pub for world cup events or a game of pool. The outside is tired. Hidden jem, quiet but has pool tables friendly staff and a great atmosphere, large smoking area with plenty of tables. Weatherspoons may be cheeper but has nothing on this place. Over £2000 donated to charity but suffering due to covid. Honestly worth a pint and a meal, you won't regret it.

Decent pub, 2 pool tables. One of them is rather awkward to use being that it's crammed into a corner, can't always get the cue where you want it. Beer is decent and staff are friendly, that's what counts
One of the last proper sports pubs. Poole tables, dart boards, live sky sports, good tvs, good choice of beers, clean, great staff and regulars. Love it.
Wonderful gem, thoroughly enjoyed a longer stop than anticipated after visiting friends. Great music in background playing, not too loud to still have a conversation. Had it not been so early would have happily danced along. Really good beer. Nice pool table, free on a wednesday! Lucky us! Thanks so much for making our visit welcoming.
