Contribute FeedbackThe Curlew offers an inviting ambiance with attentive staff and an extensive menu, known for beautifully presented dishes that delight the palate. While many diners praise the excellent food, some have noted inconsistencies, particularly with the portion sizes and quality of certain dishes like the lamb shank. Concerns about the restaurant's cleanliness have emerged, particularly regarding pesky flies. The vegan menu, though present, lacks creativity. Despite these drawbacks, numerous patrons still appreciate the overall experience, impressed by the friendly service and delectable offerings, making The Curlew a venue worth revisiting for a special occasion.
The Curlew could not accommodate our table reservation through opentable.
Too many fly's in the restaurant to the point of annoyance. Booked as a special meal for my 60 birthday I was very disappointed having eaten in the curlew for many years.
The garden at this restaurant is lovely for outdoor dining, but the furniture is worn and in need of cleaning. The staff seem overworked, but the lunch menu is reasonably priced and enjoyable.
The new weekend menu at this restaurant is fantastic. The service from Tom and the rest of the team was outstanding.
We booked for Sunday lunch and we weren't disappointed. Whenever we come from Oxford to visit my sister who lives in Christchurch we always have at least one meal in The Curlew and we always enjoy our meals.
