Reviews - Nite Star
Reviews summary
Nite Star restaurant has received a mixed bag of reviews, reflecting a spectrum of customer experiences. While some diners enjoyed generous portions and flavorful dishes, such as the praised mixed kebab in naan bread, others were left disappointed by stale chips and disappointing service. Complaints included poor communication from the staff, mishandling of food, and hygiene concerns, leading to an overall unsatisfactory experience for many. Unfortunately, the restaurant's inconsistent quality and customer service have left several patrons vowing never to return, casting a shadow over what could have been a memorable dining experience in Derry.

I have only ever bought chips here, and they were very tasty, and a large potion (which was huge) only costed £2.50!! I am only giving four stars because some of the hygiene standards could be a bit better considering for example a staff memeber was handling money and then sneezed and then touched my food without washing their hands. I didn’t see anyone wash their hands once. View all feedback.
What David R dislikes about Nite Star:
First and last time here. Got a munch box, don’t know how you can get chips wrong but they were stale. Small amounts a chicken and onion rings and then half a box of cold sweaty donner meat that had been wrapped in tin foil probably made a few hours before. Threw most in the bin View all feedback.

The kebabs and kebab platters are delicious. The staff is very polite and friendly. I absolutely love the food.
I ordered the fish and chips and unfortunately, they were the worst I've ever had. The fish was extremely dry, over-fried, and thin.
The blond girl working on Halloween night was extremely accommodating and polite. Thank you for the garlic mayo!
100% good food Fish and chips sausage lovely pizza And good price I ordered again ..

My wife and I traveled from Dublin to Derry and found the people to be very welcoming. However, our experience at Nite Star restaurant ruined our day trip. I have a great appreciation for India and its temples, so I asked the Indian staff about them. Unfortunately, their English was not good and they seemed to misunderstand me. The Indian lady working there thought I was being rude and the staff deliberately ruined our order with sauces, making it inedible. I will never return to Nite Star again and feel that they ruined our trip to Derry. Sincerely, a man who was simply curious about Indian temples.
I was about to visit lisnaskea for a takeaway when a cousin of mine told me to try the nite star, wow the mixed kebab in nan bread was out of this world, full of meat and so so tasty absolutely recommended.
The first time I went here didn’t go well he gave me a batterd sausage supper when I asked for a portion of batterd sausages and a large chip and the second time it was a perfect order except there was not many chips so we went tack in and got a small bag of chips
