The Vintage Cafe On The Rocks

Loved it! Had dinner here with mu boyfriend during the Vivid festival on Saturday night. Stumbled across this cute little place in the nurses walk. Small but great atmosphere. Brazilian Bossa Nova live singer made the night as well as the yummy sangria . Great friendly service. Good food. Loved the grilled octopus and the mushrooms w ricotta and feta. Yum! A little pricey though, but I guess it is the rocks. :

Expensive, but a nice place to be.. We only ordered sandwiches at $17 each there not cheap... but sitting out on the skinny deck in the back streets of the rocks... We through it was worth it. Can understand others finding it expensive

Cosy. Decent food (breakfast for us with plenty of flavour and a good size for the price. The coffee could have done with a bit more flavour though.<br/ <br/ The friendly staff were attentive without being intrusive and the place had a good vibe for an early, rainy morning.<br/ <br/ On the downside it's a bit cramped (cosy? with the owners trying to jam paying customers into every available space but with the overheads in an area like The Rocks, I'm not surprised.

The hot clay vegetarian breakfast went down a treat. Served in a terracotta ramekin, it's a stodgy affair of baked beans, spinach, asparagus, onion, a little chilli and poached eggs.

Tucked away delight.. We 'found ' Vintage Café ' on our last trip to Sydney. This time we returned by choice. It 's small, but that 's an observation, not a criticism. The service is good. What we love is the fun music they play.We came for brunch and had an omelette and 'Vintage Breakfast '. The rye toast looked amazing so I scoffed it first. WOW! Nothing to fault about the breakfast and I cleaned my plate as I hit 'full up '. GF liked her Mediterranean omelette. We will definitely return on our next visit. We really liked it.
