Looking at the website, this restaurant looked like a nice place to go for a quality meal. Despite the website blurb, the dining experience was far from truly pleasing . Yes, the food was presented well (bar the burnt bits), but the food tasted bland and had no flavour. Ambience was lacking and the staff looked pretty miserable.I usually go for a dessert, but, based on the main, I didn 't bother. Won 't be returning... View all feedback.
I was initially drawn to this restaurant by its appealing website, which suggested it would be a great spot for a quality meal. Unfortunately, my dining experience fell short of expectations. While the presentation of the food was commendable (except for some burnt parts), the taste was disappointingly bland and lacked flavor. The ambiance left much to be desired, and the staff appeared rather unhappy. I typically enjoy dessert, but given the subpar main course, I decided to skip it. I won't be in a rush to return.
I particularly love the atmosphere when we visit. The walls are adorned with fascinating memorabilia, and the gardens are delightful to stroll through. On weekends, my wife and I often sneak out early to drive the five minutes to Annangrove Bar Dining for a delicious breakfast on the gazebo overlooking the small pond. If we’re lucky, we might even find a Sunday paper waiting for us. We’re also looking forward to having a High Tea there in March 2014—another exciting event to anticipate!
