The Old Bakery Tea-rooms - Fenland

I originally went in to grab some food to go, but ended up staying for a delicious vegan breakfast. The restaurant offers a great selection of meals and snacks. The service was very helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere was nice.

I stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring the town. I had a delightful experience enjoying coffee and cake and engaging in conversation with the friendly and knowledgeable staff who shared information about the town and its history. The decor could use a bit of improvement, such as adding tablecloths and decorations, and enhancing the display of their delicious cakes. Despite this, the staff was excellent and it was a nice spot to relax and unwind for a bit.

We recently returned to this restaurant for the first time since Covid restrictions were lifted and we were pleased to see that they were diligent in ensuring they followed all current rules. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at a competitive price, even without the government's Eat Out to Help Out program. The quality of the meal exceeded our expectations and it was great value for money. This traditional small cafe offers a good menu and maintains high standards. It's a wonderful spot to meet for coffee, lunch, or just to catch up with friends.

Lunch was lovely, the atmospheres friendly and welcoming, a good menu, with vegetarian options, delicious deserts.

We called in for a refuelling elevenses stop when cycling through Chatteris and what a great find this tea room was. There is a good selection of lovely looking and very inviting cakes to choose from and we each chose a different one which we took with a cup of coffee. Service was friendly and efficient and our cake and coffee was served to us on an outside table where we sat and enjoyed the sunshine. This tea room will be our stop of choice when passing through again.
