Generous salads ..Italienne can b... read more After a well deserved month rest Sophie ably assisted by Jean-Pierre has opened for We are fans from several lunchtime visits. Generous salads ..Italienne can be recommended... to specials. I had an Assiete Montagne, hams, saussison, salad really tasty raclette type potato,...a little onion and melted cheese. A real winter warmer eaten outside under a deep blue January sky. One cafe gourmand to finish. Together with a demi of A real favourite of ours and I even appreciate J-P's humour...and of course Sophie's cooking and hospitality.

You'll probably find daily specials. Salads at about Euros are fairly priced but I wouldn't class this as a cheap eats place..it's far...better than that. Sophie is a great cook and friendly host. The only caveat is the opening days seem pretty random....so if you're passing, looking for a lunch spot and it's open don't hesitate to go in.

The small cooking space means that it's heavily biased t... read more We know this cafe/restaurant mostly for the excellent coffee but now frequent it at lunchtimes as well. The small cooking space means that it's heavily biased towards excellent salads with much of the produce home made by Sophie. Other typical dishes available..steak tartares, farcies so...meals that are not elaborate or take a lot of cooking on the day but are presented beautifully. Salad Italiennes..a good quantitiy of excellent Parma/Melon Mozzarella/Tomatoes marinated vegetable+ mixed Euros. Most dishes in the range Euros which is OK but it's the care with presentation and enthusiasm for her home cooking which stands out. Excellent home made tartes as well as ices.

It is possible to get a vegetarian meal. I am a local and eat here all year...round.
