I recently ordered dinner to take out, and I was thoroughly impressed. The meal was truly exceptional, earning a perfect score of 5 for the food. The service matched the quality of the food, also receiving a 5—my order was handled efficiently and with great care. The atmosphere radiated a wonderful vibe, making it a pleasure to indulge in my meal at home. I highly recommend the Paratha Meal, which was the highlight of my dining experience. Overall, a fantastic choice for a delightful dinner!
This is the best Sri Lankan food my family has had in Melbourne. We ordered takeout for dinner, and the price per person was around A$80–100.
After a hiatus Amna's Restaurant is open for business and I was fortunate I came on the opening day and not before. I chose the paratha meal which comes with a lentil dish, chicken curry (also available in beef or lamb), 2 roti and 1 egg paratha. The roti is soft and flaky and breaking it apart, scooping some of the lentils and eating presents a mild comforting spice flavour. This is tasty and nice to sit down and enjoy this at your own pace. The chicken curry has a slight bite despite asking for mild but is very tasty. I thought this was best enjoyed with the egg paratha which I've not eaten before and is quite a different type of bread to the roti. The chicken is tender and with the paratha, very enjoyable and filling. Once done, there's a wash basin and tissues to clean one's hands. Ever since eating the chicken kottu I am obsessed with Sri Lankan cuisine! The portion sizes are very generous for the price you pay and the family running it are very welcoming and very friendly. Definitely my weekly go to when craving a kottu.
