We are visiting friends here and were disappointed the place was closed last time we were at Faulensee, but it was worth the wait. We both had the grilled lake whitefish, Felchen, which was delicious with buttered potatoes and green mixed salads. Beautiful view of Lake Thunersee. My wife slept in a Citroen here in 1963 with her parents and brother on a European auto tour because all the lodgings were full! We plan to make this a regular stop on our European trips. Friendly and efficient service and a gorgeous view of the lake and mountains. I forgot to mention that my wife 's family name is Hecht, same as the restaurant, German for pike fish!
