We have a second home in Selva di Fasano so La Siesta is a very short drive away for us and we love it. It's a basic, simple menu bot the food is really good. In summer it gets very busy but in winter when it's quieter, the fire is lit and its really cosy. We love it! View all feedback.
A little crowded at peak times in the tourist season – my advice is to book a table in advance. The establishment is a family affair – but this definitely does not detract from the quality of the food. They also have a small B&B a small distance from the restaurant – great breakfasts too!

Typical family run restaurant pizzeria going for years. Always busy place full of locals arriving late for dinner, bringing the whole family with young and old along. Try the lamm chops and the fabulous pizza!
My review is about the La Siesta Restaurant in Selva Di Fasano, Puglia Italy. I have to say this was quite simply one of the best food experiences in Puglia I have tried. And I have tried a lot of restaurants in this area. This unassuming restaurant in Selva Di Fasano serves the best fresh fish as the owner says, my fish is not fresh, but alive. We opted for raw fish anti pasti oysters, clams, mussels, squid delicately seasoned with lemon, uncooked prawn salad.. the dishes never stopped coming. For the second anti pasti, we had salami, delicate prosciutto crudo, wild rocket, other tit bits. The staff were excellent, clearing up dishes, making space and just generally ensuring that we had the optimum food experience. By the time the main course came mini pasta in sugo di pesce it felt wrong not to eat it despite how full we were. And then they was the second course! A whole grilled fresh sea bass, Flat fish in fresh tomato sauce, and fried sea food calamari, squid, merluzzo. Of course there was the dessert too the owner Jacomo Bonjourno insisted that we took it home there was just no way we could have eaten it! The bill came to just over 140 euros for 7 people including delicious local wine (Primaio from Locorotondo, if you care to know) Forget overrated restaurants and over priced, when in this region of Puglia. La Siesta in Sleva Di Fasano is a must and a well kept local secret.
