Upon arriving at the spacious restaurant, the friendly sta... read more We were unsure of what to expect from DaTerra, as we had heard they served a vegetarian/vegan buffet. Upon arriving at the spacious restaurant, the friendly staff informed us that everything was completely vegan - fantastic! We enjoyed the buffet, giving us the opportunity to try a variety of delicious hot and cold dishes as many times as we pleased. The desserts were also separated from the buffet, offering a great selection to choose from. The banoffee cake was particularly amazing! We highly recommend DaTerra, as the food was truly excellent. It was disappointing to find that this restaurant doesn't always show up in search results on HappyCow.

I was in other daTerra locations in northern Portugal and the food was always delicious, but unfortunately this is not the case for the one in Faro. First of all, they happen to follow the menu presented on their website, it should be the same for all daTerra restaurants, but for some reason it is not the case for these. It has a wide selection of cold ducks and salads, but not everything feels fresh. Some options sound and taste like residues from the day before or from the previous meal. Besides, they always cook in the same way. Notification I write cook because cutting tofu and placing on a tray with a little sauce is an acceptable way to present a tofu dish in 2022. I really hope they get it together and improve the quality of food, otherwise it will only remain open by tourist baits and a lack of similar options in Faro.
