We had a delicious meal here between the Portuguese. It is very basic, originally flavoured, with a wide choice of fresh fish from the grill. My advice is to share the meal as the portions are big. The house wine is good, the service friendly. What does a man want more?? Oh yes almost forgot the price-quality ratio is great….

Staff not sure what was gluten free, dangerous for ceoliacs, NO Gluten free beer available, surprisingly enough. Hopefully nobody has a reaction.

Locals spot. Unbelievable value. Choose your meat or seafood to be grilled over charcoal before you sit down. Wine by the 1/2 litre or litre. Sardines were amazing, well seasoned, 8€ for 9 sardines? Get in there for 7 as it gets well busy. Cards accepted. The tomato and onion salad with bread is just fantastic. We had two portions of sardines as we didn’t realise how many we were getting, these come with potatoes, a portion of sausage, these come with chips, not needed by this time, bread salad litre of wine, 33€, say no more.

I found this via a Guide Book...and decided to seek it out. In all honesty...you`d probably walk straight past it its not on any main drag etc...just an ordinary building next to a bus stop. But SO glad we did! Its nothing really fancy... but you get a feeling of authenticity. I`d read previous reviews...which tbf...I take with a pinch of salt. Us Brits in particular sometimes want things on OUR terms or we complain. I think you have to EMBRACE where you go...we did. SO... shown to a table... it was pretty quiet tbh..7.15pm on a Tues in late May. Waitress shows you to the Fish Counter which has a sparkling array of fresh seafood... and basically...yer just point out what yer fancy and its cooked on the grill behind...we thought this was GREAT... At the table you are brough a tray of Tomato/Onion?Garlic salad with bread... I could have just eaten that tbh! Now... heres a tip...make sure you tell them when you point your fish out...that you want Sides... ie Potatoes /Chips etc. Our waitress spoke very little english...but it was fun trying to get across what we hanted. We got a bowl of boiled pots and some chips (fries)... Got couple carafes of wine. The fish was GORGE! I had Dorado , Sis had Salmon and my friend had Oysters...a platter of EIGHT came and me eyes were rolling round like a cartoon dog with signs in!! We LOVED it! The Bill... total for Four of us was a whopping.... are you ready? FIFTY SEVEN EUROS! couldnt believe it..probably be double that down on the Marina. What I might suggest is to go on a Lunch time (12 2pm) because then you get a TOTAL pick of whats in the Fridge...for instance..there was no sardines left at night time...so its just whats left. Evenings are 7pm 10pm. In conclusion...if you are looking for something a bit more authentic should we say... and a little bit quirky...this is the place for you. I`d HIGHLY recommend it
