Gabriella's Mex Grill - Farmington

My family has been dining at Gabi's for many years. However, during our last visit, my tamale was overcooked and seemed to have been microwaved for too long. We decided to give it another try tonight and I ordered Stephen's Special. Unfortunately, when it was brought to our table, I immediately noticed that something was off. They had used regular rice instead of the usual fancy rice, and the shrimp was much smaller than usual. Upon trying to eat it, I realized that the shrimp was tough and dried out, making it difficult to even pierce with a fork. Thank you for the happy family memories over the years, Gabi's, but we will not be returning.

Gabby's and Gabriella's has been our favorite Mexican food spot for years. However, tonight we were disappointed with our Chicken Fajitas. We told two employees that the dish was dry, overcooked, and consisted of small chunks instead of the usual sliced juicy chicken breasts we are accustomed to. Their response was simply "sorry, have a good night." Unfortunately, this experience has led us to decide not to return to Gabriella's in the future.

The manager went to the kitchen and returned with our food. My order was correct, but the dish for my wife was incorrect, which we informed him about. He left again to rectify the mistake. While we waited, the diners at the table next to us expressed their frustration and decided to leave without finishing their meal. My wife's correct dish arrived about 15-20 minutes later, but was still frozen inside when she took a bite. At that point, we decided to cut our losses and left without eating. As we were leaving, we noticed that other tables were also pondering leaving due to the long waits and poor service. There were audible conversations throughout the restaurant about the dissatisfaction with the experience. While this could have been an isolated incident, we are unsure if we will give this restaurant another chance in the future.

Gabriella brought her father out of retirement to work in the Farmington restaurant! Yay! We stopped here today to have an early dinner with my parents. We were seated immediately and the waitstaff was wonderful. The food was really great. We had the white cheese dip, the guacamole and the chicken fajitas. At our table was also the taco salad and the shrimp enchiladas. Everything was delicious and none of us could eat it all. They have really stepped it up. This is even better than the original used to be. Thanks Gaby's for a great meal!

Striked out.. I 'm a man who likes to have a great Mexican draft brew with his Mexican food or a quality margarita. I found neither at Gabby 's. They lack a draft (may have changed since my last visit) so you were only given bottled domestics (which were lacking). Each visit they came out barely cooled and two of the three times lacked limes. The margaritas seemed to be your standard sub 100% agave Cuervo mix that 's more sugary sticky nausea inducing than legitimate natural flavors. They lacked a beef flautas (but had chicken) which a bit of a put off. The chicken was very chewy and varying in temperature from hot to cold. My consecutive visits resulted in very average enchiladas and a burrito. Chicken still chewy and unsatisfying, but the beef was alright. Service was great. Drinks, salsa, and chips were managed perfectly without becoming too annoying. The staff seem to be hard workers and very on task even during busy hours. Overall it 's not a place to come for great food or to hang out and have some beers/margaritas friends. I would just assume invest the extra few minutes to get to Mexico Viejo. Gabby 's is more of a, We live in Farmington, but don 't want to leave Farmington type of place.. Saying a last resort would be unfair, but..
