I went on Saturday morning to breakfast to cj. we were greeted and sitting right away. I had the cj plus with a pancake. that was great. I'll tell you that her blueberry pancake was fantastic. All right, I ordered two more. by far the best pancakes I've ever had. So if they are in fargo, I recommend CJ’s kitchen!

The service was terrible. they brought us water and we were not ready to order. that was our fault. the type seemed to be irritated and simply turns around and... read more The service was terrible. they brought us water and we were not ready to order. that was our fault. the type seemed to be irritated and simply turns around and goes away. he didn't come back to get our order. So we finally had to get up and tell him we were ready to order. still, no eye contact. no answer. then finally comes by and takes our job. my friend commands her and cuts her off when she talks and asks how she wants her egg. then I would like the same and he goes “eggs, toast, hathbrowns, K” fetch the menu from my hand and goes away. I didn't even have the chance to change the egg. clogs our food and says nothing. falls out our register card and says nothing. I have gnady for bad days, but this service was so bad we never be again and until big changes happen I would not recommend them to either go. I felt bad to be there and be a last to serve us. sad it also seems as if it were a great family owned when they show something friendliness and respect.

I had the buttermilk pancake and a slice of toast (which were both okay). The place was not very clean, with syrup marks on the chair rail and all over the syrup jar, and a hair in the pour spout. The small cream pitcher had several blobs of gloop on the outside.I guess I just prefer my dining venues to be clean, and with food that tastes at least as good as I could make at home (in a cleaner kitchen)I was a little put off by the coffee cups from other businesses (a local hardware store and some kind of steel business), but I could have construed that as charming if the coffee and food had been great.Gave it a 2 star since the food was edible (we each ate over half of our meal).
