We waited about 45 minutes for our food, but we were told. We had a great meal, so worth the wait. The pub is advertising for staff so if anyone is looking for a job, check it out. Sign of our current times. Staff were lovely. If you have to wait a while, so what. Remember when we were shut indoors, and couldn't go to the pub! Be kind! View all feedback.

On this occasion stopped in at 8.50pm on Sunday for a pint to be refused service for a second at 9.15pm.Barman said they call time depending how busy they are. An absolutely amazing evening, the food was beyond my expectations just beautiful! The service was faultless, 5 stars! Special mention to Victoria, she was incredible, thank you!
I went to the Bold Forester with friends for a celebratory meal last night. I would say in the whole the food and service were good but my issue was that the fajitas came with small portions of the bottled guacamole, sour cream and salsa which are very tasteless. For the price we were charged (I think it was approx £17) they should serve fresh sauces with the food. The ocean platter starter was very good. We were also overcharged for a drink, which took some explaining as to how we did not receive it before it was removed from the bill. It was also a shame that the pub emptied out so early (maybe because it was mainly elderly diners) and we were the only table left after 9pm. I don't think I'd choose to go there again.
Family meal (adults and kids). Food was really good, enjoyed by all and everyone had a great time. Service was friendly.
