They took our order promptly... read more I found Friendly Phil's to be clean, bright, and welcoming. The staff were friendly and even offered my grandson a coloring sheet. They took our order promptly and the food arrived quickly and tasted delicious. We particularly enjoyed the dessert of churros and ice cream. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family. It is child-friendly and welcoming.

It wasn’t very busy and we were shown by a friendly waitress to a booth b... read more Stopped in Friendly Phil’s for a late breakfast before Christmas shopping at Whiteley. It wasn’t very busy and we were shown by a friendly waitress to a booth by the window. The service seemed to be pretty efficient however the problems started when my bacon and scrambled eggs with a muffin arrived. I had specifically asked for the bacon to be well done but what turned up had hardly been shown the frying pan and was decidedly “rare”. I pointed this out to the waiter who promptly took the plate away returning 5 minutes later with now rather better cooked bacon but the plate swimming in liquid to the extent that the muffin was soggy. I pointed this out too and again the plate was taken away. After a rather longer wait of maybe 10 minutes (by which time my co-diners had finished their food) a new plate of food arrived everything this time cooked and presented the way it should have been the first time. So eventually they got it right but it was a bit of a mission. I won’t be hurrying back.

I expected a small portion but the chips were plentiful... read more Just had cheese burger and sweet potato fries. Both the burger and fries were piping hot and very tasty. I expected a small portion but the chips were plentiful and the burger was huge. Would definitely recommend and would 100% return. Also had churros and a brownie for dessert which were perfect. The sauce that came with the churros was so delicious. We were served by a wonderful lady called Renata who was very polite and attentive to us.
