Breezes Cafe
Description
Nestled along the scenic coastline, Breezes Café offers a delightful dining experience, though reviews reveal a blend of highs and lows. Patrons rave about the exceptional food, with standout dishes like the halibut and festive afternoon tea consistently impressing. The friendly and attentive staff, especially Nicky, ensure a welcoming atmosphere that resonates with returning customers. However, some diners have expressed disappointment with service delays and inconsistencies in food quality, such as cold dishes and misunderstood portion sizes. Despite these hiccups, many guests cherish their visits, making Breezes a beloved spot worth exploring again and again.

I have been enjoying the festive afternoon tea at this restaurant for the past three years and it is always fantastic. The selection of flavors is delightful and the attention to detail is top-notch. We always end up taking home some leftover cakes, which adds to the fun and extends the enjoyment. I have no complaints about this experience and I am already looking forward to next year.
My wife and I first met at Breezes 8 years ago, and every year on our anniversary Nicky prepares a special meal for us. We have a designated table upstairs where we always feel pampered. This year, we enjoyed halibut on the bone with a variety of vegetables, followed by a delicious fruit dessert with white chocolate sauce. To end the meal, we had liqueur coffees. Our only disappointment is that we can't dine here every day for lunch. I will be celebrating my birthday here in a couple of weeks with 30 guests, and I am confident that the food will be just as amazing. Thank you, Nicky, for your exceptional hospitality and delicious food with fantastic sauces.
A long wait which was fine if the food was good. Ordered 2 x bacon toasted sandwiches and specialty asked for butter served with spread. Returned. Came back with butter still in wrapper and hard. The bacon now cold. Very disappointing.
Went for brunch today. Lots of empty tables. Waitress did not enquire about my visit, more interested with the clipboard rather than engaging. Very disappointed with service. Quite clearly flustered so I left without any concern by staff.
Went for our usual walk along the front at Lee and stopped at Breezes for breakfast. Had the full English, served on a cold plate with, at the best, luke warm beans and one of the eggs was over cooked and hidden under a nicely cooked egg. Everything else was up to usual standards. My wife mentioned the cold beans when settling up, an appology was given, but it seemed to barely register. Careless and not up to usual standards, it won't stop us going again but disappointing when you're supporting a place you like coming back to.
