Sheelen's Fish Company - Fanwood

That's delicious. Not fat. The fish is amazing. I ordered almost everything. I'll be back. It was my first in the Fanwood site and I will visit their new location in North Plainfield rt 22 area. Thank you.

First off, they 're great with a deep fryer, whether it 's fish or hush puppies or Oreos. The soup is always good, but the lobster bisque goes fast. I like the warm (I 'd say Connecticut style lobster rolls. They 've got raw fish, poki bowls, and tacos to try, too, though I 've never gotten this fast through the menu. Very quick service, if you 're in a rush you can order ahead, not that much room to eat inside but there are picnic tables out back.

Had the grilled scallops and pommes. Taste was ingenious would be a little less on 5 stars just because it def needed a few more scallops, but others than, would reorder the tarter sauce that came with it was excellent! Also the seafood pot shell, now loaded with shrimps and scallops like crazy, could have been less and would have been great. Stars of the show were the soups! Shrimp Cheese was great and the New England Clam Chowder the best ever(10 stars). Will be back for lunch. Owner was very nice!

Great food. Nice selection. Very attractive staff. On the Pricy side, but worth the cost, IMHO.

Our first time at Sheelen’s was Saturday evening 4/16/22 when we passed South Ave. in Fanwood. Since it was late, we chose the take-out with the quality and taste of the broken fried fish chips, Po’boy Shrimp Sandwich and fried zucchini! The broken food is fried until the fish is cooked properly. The parts are a good size, bigger than we expected. The Cole Slav is delicious. The young woman who took our order answered all our questions about food. While we were waiting for food, she said we were welcome to try her soups; the 4 large soup boilers are themselves served. We tried the Lobster Bisque and the New England Clam Chowder were both excellent. Everything was nicely packed and they contained a container with tartaric acid sauce, cocktail sauce packages of the malt vinegar. Prices are good considering that it is Seafood. We will definitely return here!
