We had some traditional Danish food including Christiansö herring and a 'flat ' fish of a type unknown to me. The local beer was excellent. Since we did not stay here I cannot review the hotel part.
Probably the only place for haute cuisine on Fanoe. Quite good, but theres a long way to a Michelin star. Service is very friendly but somehow ordinary in the same time. Def. not Michelin experience. Price vs. quality is quite ok. Being on a small island you would think that the view from most tables were not a parking lot but the ocean. Nice that they dont force extra entrees aperitifs snacks coffee. Wine selection quite good and not overpriced.
3 course dinner one night and the full 5 course treatment the other as part of our stay. We got through the entire menu, and everything was excellent. It is seasonal, New Nordics with generous portions and a lack of pretentiousness that makes the restaurant super welcoming. The wine is good, the cod with cauliflower and the mussels were incredible, and the cheese selection is local and awesome.
The food is excellent, the service friendly and nice and the setting is wonderful. You feel set back to a romantic beach hotel from the past and it is all very tasteful and authentic. The prices are more than reasonable and you walk away filled up. I can highly recommend Kellers!
Have had both lunch and dinner here in the last few weeks. This place delivers an extraordinary experience at a very decent price! Local and simple ingredients are being used to perfection. And you get good wine guidance from the sommelier.
