Ambassaden - Fanoe

July 31, 2021 This was our second visit to Ambassaden having been there for lunch almost a year before. this time we had dinner. To say this was an unpleasant evening would be an understatement. 3 plates of food (one appetizer and a main each) took 1.5 hours. When our mains finally arrived we were disappointed to find that our steak was overcooked and cold (an odd combination) and the boiled potatoes were so undercooked that some were hard to cut with a knife. we could hear the table next to us making the same complaint amongst themselves. When we told the waiter what was wrong he went to the kitchen and returned telling us that we were wrong. they 're supposed to be that way . As if we 'd never had boiled potatoes before. When the owner came a while later to clear our uneaten plates away she said nothing so I asked her if she 'd spoken with her colleague about our conversation. She said she had. I said to her that I felt put off by the waiter and that he had been quite rude to us. he made us feel like our opinion didn 't matter. that we *were* wrong . she said well you *are* wrong . Neither of us had ever complained in a restaurant before and only decided to say something because in the menu they had written please let us know if anything is wrong. we 'd rather hear it from you than from a Google review . I tried to do it it person and was mugged off so here I am. I 've been writing reviews on Google for years and have actually never written a negative review before. you can check my other posts. this time was different. not only was it overpriced, incredibly slow, unappetizing, and badly cooked, but to top it off, the staff were rude and unhelpful. I couldn 't agree more with another recent review. their hat is too big for their head. I give two stars because I know that it might not always be this bad. Our October lunch was good. But this was taking it too far in the other direction. For the same price or less you can go to several other excellent restaurants within spitting distance.

4 adults with great expectation for the new menu map and we were not disappointed really good food and service and cozy atmosphere we come again

We have very good experiences at this restaurant. On our vacation, we visit this restaurant once and do this again every year. That indicates we're very satisfied. I'm sorry the owners want to sell the restaurant, but we do understand this.
