I have given three stars because the food is quite nice, fresh and tasty. However, prices are way too high, especially for its poor location (the restaurant is far from Fano city-centre and under a railway bridge . As you enter, you can either be seated in a big conservatory (to the left or in a smaller and more intimate area to the right, which can be accessed via a small corridor overlooking the kitchen and a small bar. We sat in this more private area at a nice big round table; the chairs though were quite battered, old fashioned and would need a good clean up. There were three of us plus a baby and we ordered two starters, two pasta courses and two main fish courses, a bottle of wine and no desserts and the bill came up to €140! Considering that what we 've ordered could have been the meal for 2 people 140 Euros is definitely too much! Pasta courses cost about €12-15, all main courses cost over €18-20 apart from fried fish which costs €15. Desserts are about €6 and the typical Moretta Fanese (coffee mixture with rhum, brandy and Varnelli costs €3,50. Coperto (cost for bread/tablecloth/service costs €2,50. All food that we ate was fresh, cooked in simple yet delicious way and using fresh ingredients. Mr Tano seemed a kind man, with quite a loud voice though. The blonde waitress too was kind and smiley but a bit rushed off her feet (she appeared to be the only waitress, along with the owner, so no surprise really if she had forgotten our bread and we have to ask for it twice... . The kitchen made a mistake with my husband 's main course: they presented monkfish with potatoes, veggie and a watery sauce instead of monkfish with artichokes. When we 've asked the waitress for an explanation she said it was the kitchen 's mistake but didn 't apologise nor offered the due replacement. In a UK restaurant, you 'd expect the owner/manager to come and apologise and perhaps to offer a complimentary bottle of wine for the inconvience (especially since my husband didn 't make any fuss and agreed to eat the wrong dish, saving them from having to cook another main course . I felt that they didn 't get out of their way to please us, something definitely NOT in line with their prices and the tone they 'd like to give to their restaurant. Would I recommend this place? Probably not. There are loads of really good fish places in Fano, with much better prices and definitely more central and nicer locations so I 'm afraid but they won 't see us again...
