The hotel is located ab... read more Beautiful welcome by a suited gentleman and extended by a stunning south tyrolean prosecco and the lightest, fluffiest popcorn ever had. The hotel is located about a 7 minute drive meandering up from bruneck and family run. This is evident throughout as the attention to detail in the dining area was super. Fresh flowers, candles and crisp table linen. A superb start to the evening was the greeting from the kitchen. Simply put; home made herbal black bread, speck and a herbal light green butter. One member of our party had the ‘surprise’ menu which consisted of 3 surprise dishes from the kitchen; a wild mushroom risotto, a meat course and cheese cake to finish. I had the tuna sashimi, rib eye and the chocolate to finish. What was the focal point of these courses was that when they were presented to us on the table there was a fragrance that just filled our table with delight and this extended to our taste buds being completely satisfied. Every single dish was perfectly proportioned, seasoned and presented neatly. Service was quick and professional and conversation was held very well. All the accompanying wines suited the dishes fully. The hotel is a gourmet hotel and the prices for the à la carte reflect this. There is a five course menu for €85 which is in line with prices throughout South Tyrol. Reservations are always recommend and I would highly commend this place

However the second half of the menu di... read more We had a 6 course menu on Saturday's evening the first 3 courses were exceptional (I would even say Michelin star level). However the second half of the menu didn't live up to it's potential the components were cooked well, however the combination wasn't that good. However, we will definitelly come back.
